The Virginia baseball team's march back to the College World Series will resume Saturday afternoon at Davenport Field.
The Cavaliers will host Mississippi State this weekend in the best-of-three Charlottesville Super Regional, with the winner moving on to Omaha. The teams will play at 1 p.m. Saturday, 7 p.m. Sunday, and at 4 p.m. Monday (if necessary.)
Mississippi State finished off Central Arkansas with a 6-1 win in Monday night's deciding seventh game to clinch the Starkville Regional and advance to visit Virginia.
Virginia, the No. 6 national seed in the tournament, is 2-1 all-time in super regional play. The Cavaliers advanced to the College World Series in 2009 and 2011, and lost to Oklahoma in 2010. The 50-10 Cavaliers are coming off a 3-0 performance in last weekend's Charlottesville Regional.
