Imovbioh's Monster Night Not Enough for UVa

The shorthanded Virginia women's basketball team's February struggles continued with a 73-68 overtime loss to Wake Forest on Monday night.

The Cavaliers have now lost four straight, and six of their last seven overall. It was also Virginia's fourth loss in a row at home, and Wake Forest's first win in Charlottesville since 1978.

Virginia is now 1-6 in February. The loss dropped the Cavaliers to 7-9 in the ACC -- sixth in the conference standings -- and 15-12 overall.

Guards Lakevia Boykin and Chelsea Douglas combined to score 45 points for Wake Forest, who improved to 12-16 with the win, and 5-11 in the ACC.

The Cavaliers squandered a career night from sophomore Sarah Imovbioh. The St. Anne's-Belfield product set new career highs with 18 points, 18 rebounds, and five steals in the loss. Freshman Jaryn Garner also set a new career high with 10 points.
