Kyle Crockett is back in the bigs.
The Virginia alum was recalled from "AAA" Columbus by the Cleveland Indians Friday, marking his second stint with the big club.
He became the first member of MLB's 2013 draft class to make it to the big leagues when he made his Indians' debut on May 16. He made three appearances, with a 2.08 ERA in 4.1 IP before being optioned to Columbus.
In 21 combined appearances with Columbus and Class AA Akron this year, Crockett has posted a 0.74 ERA (two earned runs in 24 1/3 innings). The opposition is hitting .172.
He was the Indians' fourth-round pick last year.
