Kirby Earns Another All-American Honor

Nathan Kirby is now a unanimous All-American.

Kirby was selected to the American Baseball Coaches Association first-team All-American list Thursday. He has now been chosen by all five major publications and groups: Baseball America, NCBWA, Louisville Slugger, Perfect Game, and ABCA.

The sophmore lefty is 9-2 on the year with a 1.70 ERA and 108 strikeouts in 111 inings of work. He's coming off a dominant effort in the first game of the College World Series, holding Ole Miss to just one hit and one earned in seven innings.

Virginia closer Nick Howard was named to the ABCA second-team, adding to his Louisville Slugger third-team honor.

Howard is 2-1 this season with a 1.82 ERA and 19 saves. He allowed just one hit in four innings Tuesday night against TCU, his longest outing of the season.
