MHS Alum Brown Resigns with Jaguars

Former Monticello High School football star Mike Brown will continue his NFL career with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Brown resigned with the Jaguars on Wednesday, sticking with the team he joined as an undrafted rookie free agent out of Liberty University in 2012.

Brown spent most of his rookie season on Jacksonville's taxi squad before being promoted to the active roster for the final two games of the year. He spent all of last season on the Jaguars' active roster, finishing third on the team with 446 receiving yards and fourth with 32 catches, including a pair of touchdowns.

Brown's first NFL score came on a 29-yard pass from Chad Henne against the San Francisco 49ers in a game at Wembley Stadium in London last October.
