Monticello's Koonce Out For Season

Monticello junior running back Kyree Koonce will miss the remainder of the season with a broken leg, Mustangs head coach Jeff Woody confirmed Sunday.

Koonce was injured in the Mustangs' 54-16 win over Charlottesville on Friday, after running for 160 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Through 5 games this season, Koonce is leading the Mustangs with 677 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has 152 receiving yards and 3 receiving touchdowns.

The Mustangs are 5-0 this season and travel to Fluvanna on Friday to face the Flucos.
