Virginia's Jedd Moore was named ACC Wrestler of the Week after his victory over 11th-ranked Kyle John of Maryland. Moore's 5-3 decision at 167 pounds Sunday was pivotal in the team's 22-14 upset of the previously unbeaten Terrapins.

The redshirt junior never trailed in the bout with John and Moore's win put the Cavaliers up 16-0 in the match. Moore is 16-5 this season and is Virginia's second ACC Wrestler of the Week honoree. Ryan Malo won the award on November 22.

With the win over Maryland, Virginia (7-1, 4-1) clinched a tie for the regular season ACC crown with Virginia Tech. Maryland has one match remaining and could also earn a share of the crown.

Virginia hosts Rutgers on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Memorial Gymnasium.
