Moyers Misses Cut at Greenbrier

Mikey Moyers' first taste of golf at the PGA Tour level has come to an end after two rounds at the Greenbrier Classic in West Virginia.

The Greene County native shot a seven-over 77 in Friday morning's second round of play, matching his score from Thursday's opening round. At plus-14 through two days, Moyers missed the cut at his first career PGA event.

Moyers opened play on the back nine on Friday, and was even-par for the day until a double-bogey on the par-four 13th. He followed with back-to-back bogeys on 15 and 16 to sit at four-over for the day at the turn.

Moyers had a string of six straight pars broken with another double-bogey on the par-four fifth hole, then had another bogey on the seventh. He finished his second round with 13 pars, three bogeys, and two double-bogeys.
