Former Virginia wide receiver Kris Burd became the fifth Cavalier to sign on with a NFL team as an undrafted free agent. Burd agreed to terms with the New York Jets on Sunday.
In 2011, Burd led Virginia in receiving with 66 receptions for 913 yards and three touchdowns. The fifth-year senior caught two scores in the Chick-fil-A Bowl against Auburn before leaving the game with a shoulder injury.
Burd is one of two ACC free agents signed by the Jets so far, joining Boston College corner back Donnie Fletcher.
