Nine different players scored goals as the No. 6 Virginia women's lacrosse team rolled William & Mary, 22-9, Wednesday in Williamsburg. The win pushed Virginia to 3-4 overall.
Courtney Swan and Casey Bocklet each scored four goals for the Cavaliers, while Morgan Stephens added a hat trick. Five other 'Hoos (Ashlee Warner, Maddy Keeshan, Mary Alati, Posey Valis and Kelly Boyd) all pitched in with a pair of goals.
Virginia led from the start and took a 9-5 lead into halftime. The Cavs then used an 8-1 run in the second half to pull away from the Tribe.
Liz Colgan notched five saves and picked up the win in net.
Western Albemarle grad Ellen Shaffrey led William & Mary with two goals.
Virginia is back in action Saturday when it travels to Princeton.
