No. 9 Cavaliers One Win Away From ACC Regular-Season Title

The No. 9 Virginia women’s tennis team continued its winning ways with a 4-0 win at Florida State in ACC action Friday.

Virginia extended its school record with its ninth consecutive win, improving its overall record to 18-4 and school-best 12-1 mark in the ACC.

The Cavaliers wrap up the regular season at No. 15 Miami on Sunday. A win over the Hurricanes would assure the Cavaliers of at least a share of their first ACC regular-season title in school history.

The Cavaliers won the doubles point and No. 50 Stephanie Nauta, No. 3 Julia Elbaba and Maci Epstein earned singles victories.

First serve against Miami in Coral Gables on Sunday is set for 1 p.m.
