Post 74 Albemarle Eliminated From Southeast Regional

Another successful season for the Post 74 Legion baseball team came to an end on Saturday night, when Albemarle fell 11-0 to the team from Tuscaloosa, AL in Southeast Regional play.

It was the second loss in two nights for Post 74, a team that went 25-0 prior to losing back-to-back games.

Austin Batten led the way for Albemarle at the plate, finishing 2-for-3, while the rest of the team went 2-for-23 on the night. Kyle Jarrell and A.J. Willy eachn finished with a hit as well. Batten pitched two innings, giving up four hits and four earned runs.

Post 74 has won consecutive state titles, cruising through this season's state tournament with an undefeated record. This is the second year in a row that their season has ended in Southeast Regional play.
