Redskins rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III was named to his first Pro Bowl team Wednesday evening. Griffin III has thrown for 20 touchdowns and rushed for another six this season.
Joining RGIII on the NFC team will be his Redskins teammates, offensive tackle Trent Williams and special teamer Lorenzo Alexander.
Meanwhile a pair of former Virginia Cavaliers were named to the AFC team. Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub, who led his team to an AFC South title, and Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller.
Miller was having a fantastic season, hauling in over 800 yards and eight scores but tore his ACL in Sunday's loss to the Bengals and will not participate in the Pro Bowl.
