The Virginia football team has taken another hit to its depth along the defensive line.
Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Justin Renfrow was not included on the updated roster posted online this week. On Thursday, a team spokesperson confirmed Renfrow's departure from the program following his graduation from the university.
Renfrow finished the spring listed second at one of the defensive tackle spots on the Cavaliers' most recent depth chart. He appeared in all 12 games as a reserve last season, finishing the year with 11 tackles. Renfrow -- who was a three-star recruit coming out of Pennsylvania in 2009 -- finished his UVa career with 18 tackles in 22 games in three seasons.
Renfrow joins Chris Brathwaite as reserves at that defensive tackle spot no longer with the UVa program. The school announced in January that Brathwaite -- who led the team's defensive tackles with 41 tackles last year -- was ineligible, and no longer enrolled at the school.
The Cavaliers also lost graduating senior Will Hill, who started all 12 games at defensive tackle last season.
Renfrow's departure leaves listed starters Brent Urban -- a senior who started all 12 games last year -- and sophomore David Dean as the only experienced defensive tackles on the depth chart. Listed backups Greg Gallop, a junior, and Andre Miles-Redmond, a redshirt freshman, have yet to appear in a college game.
The incoming freshman class includes three-star defensive tackle Donta Wilkins.
