Former Virginia linebacker LaRoy Reynolds returned to Charlottesville Saturday, to watch the 'Hoos beat BYU in their season opener. But after enjoying the win, Reynolds had to return to his new team, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Reynolds made the team's 53-man roster, after signing with the team as an undrafted free agent earlier this year.
"Being able to move on to the next level, and have the opportunity to excel, it's just been exciting," Reynolds said Saturday on the UVa sideline. "It's been new to me, but I've been adjusting and the guys around me down in Jacksonville helped me a lot.
The Jaguars open the season on Sept. 8 at home against Kansas City.
"I'm truly excited," added Reynolds. "I can't wait to get back down there tomorrow and really take advantage of the opportunity that's in front of me."
