A lot of golf needs to be played on Friday before anything is settled at this year's Spring Creek Classic.
Only about half the field completed 18 holes at Thursday's second round of the eGolf Tour event. Play was halted for more than four hours Thursday afternoon because of the storms that swept through central Virginia. Players returned to the course at 6 p.m. but play was suspended due to darkness at 8:25 p.m.
Paul Ferrier of Scotland ended Thursday with a one-stroke lead on the rest of the field at minus-8. Ferrier shot his second consecutive four-under 68 on Thursday.
Five golfers sit a stroke off the lead at 7-under, including first round leaders Matt Ryan and Virginia alum Bruce Woodall. They never finished a hole on Thursday.
Another former UVa golfer, Will Collins, shot a seven-under 65 on Thursday to move into the five-way tie for second. David Bradshaw and Tarik Can are also at minus-7 through two rounds.
