Buckingham County's longest playoff run in over a decade came to an end Saturday with a 27-0 loss to Brunswick in the VHSL Class 2A Semifinals in Franklin. The Knights end the season with a 10-4 record.

Scoring was at a premium in the first half and Buckingham found itself down just 7-0 at the half. But Brunswick played keep-away with the ball in the second half en route to the 27-0 win.

Craig Gill's team was trying to make it back to the state championship game for the first time since the 2002 Knights team, which lost to George Wythe in the final.
