Second Half Surge Leads No. 14 Cavs Past JMU

Liza Blue's goal at the 15-minute mark of the second half capped a 5-0 Virginia run and helped spark the No. 14 Cavaliers to a 12-10 win over in-state foe James Madison Wednesday at Turf Field. Virginia improved to 4-5 overall with the win.

The Cavalier defense held the Dukes to just two second-half goals while the Wahoos' offense found its footing with seven scores (two each from Maddy Keeshan, Casey Bocklet and Blue) in that second half.

Blue and Bocklet each had hat tricks for the Cavs, while Keeshan and Courtney Swan scored a pair each. Liz Colgan made seven saves in net to pick up the win.

Virginia is back in action Saturday when the Wahoos travel to Duke. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
