Virginia's Paige Selenski has been named the ACC Field Hockey Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday. Selenski had 23 points with nine goals and five assists as the Cavaliers went 3-0 last week.
On Wednesday, Selenski notched three goals and two assists in a 6-1 win over Richmond. In a 14-0 win over Towson on Friday, she scored four goals and had two assists. On Sunday, the Cavaliers defeated third-ranked Old Dominion, 5-4, behind Selenski's two goals and one assist.
The two hat tricks marked the fifth and sixth of her career, and the four-goal performance was her second.
This is the third time that Selenski has been named the ACC Player of the week, earning the honor once in 2010 as a junior and once in 2009 during her sophomore season.
