Surging Cavs Win Sixth Straight

No. 17 Virginia defeated No. 19 Georgia Tech, 4-3, in ACC women’s tennis action Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Julia Elbaba clinched Virginia’s sixth consecutive win with a three-set decision at No. 1 singles. The win moved Virginia to 14-7 overall and 7-1 in the ACC.

Virginia claimed the doubles point and senior Hana Tomljanovic and junior Caryssa Peretz added singles wins.

Virginia concludes its two-match road trip at No. 14 Clemson tomorrow at 12 p.m.
