Three Cavs Included on Latest College Football Watch Lists

The bookends on the Virginia offensive line are both on the watch list for the Outland Trophy, which goes to the best interior lineman in college football.

Senior Oday Aboushi and junior Morgan Moses, the Cavaliers' starting offensive tackles, were both named to the Outland watch list on Thursday. They're the first Virginia players on that list since offensive tackle Eugene Monroe before the 2008 season.

Senior linebacker Steve Greer was included on the Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List on Thursday, as well. The Nagurski Trophy goes to the best defensive player in college football. With Greer's inclusion, Virginia has had a player on the Nagurski's watch list every preseason since 2004.

Aboushi and Moses each started all 13 games for the Cavaliers in 2011. Dating back to the 2010 season, Aboushi has started 25 games for Virginia, while Moses has started the last 20 games. Aboushi was named to the All-ACC second team following the 2011 regular season, and both players have been named preseason All-Americans -- Aboushi by Athlon Sports, and Moses on the Phil Steele Preseason list.

The Outland Trophy is awarded by the Football Writers Association of America. The award's three finalists will be announced on November 19, with the winner then determined by a committee.

Greer was also a second-team All-ACC selection following the 2011 regular season. His 103 tackles in 12 games (he missed the Chick-fil-A Bowl with a knee injury) led the Cavaliers and were seventh in the ACC.

The five finalists for the Nagurski Trophy, awarded by the FWAA and the Charlotte Touchdown Club, will be announced on November 15. The winner will be announced at a banquet in Charlotte on December 3.
