Andrew Brown and Quin Blanding show up together on a lot of high school football achievement lists and Thursday was no exception.
The future Cavalier teammates were recognized by USA Today as All-USA selections.
Brown, the National Gatorade Player of the Year, was named first-team defensive tackle. The 6-3 Brown tallied 93 tackles on the season, with 28 for loss and 18 sacks.
He also helped lead his Oscar Smith High School team to the VHSL 6A State Championship game.
Blanding was selected as a second-team defensive back. The senior stood out at both safety and wide receiver for the Bayside Marlins this season.
Both Brown and Blanding are considered five-star prospects by all the major publications, and are recognized as the top players at their respective positions.
Virginia fans will get a sneak peek of what the pair can do as teammates in the Chesapeake Bowl All-Star Game this Saturday in Virginia Beach. Brown and Blanding are each on the South team.
