The Virginia women's tennis team continues to make history even after the regular season has ended.

The Cavaliers placed a league-high four players on the All-ACC team announced Wednesday in a vote by the conference's 15 coaches.

Sophomores Julia Elbaba and Danielle Collins were named to the first team, while sophomore Stephanie Nauta was named to the second team and freshman Rachel Pierson earned a spot on the third team.

Those four helped lead Virginia to a share of its first ACC regular-season championship in program history.

Elbaba, who is ranked No. 4 in the latest ITA singles rankings, earns All-ACC honors for the second consecutive season after posting a 16-3 dual record at No. 1 singles, including a 9-2 mark in ACC action. She was also named ACC Player of the Week twice.

Collins, who transferred to Virginia from Florida, is ranked No. 36 after posting a 15-5 dual mark, including an 11-2 mark at Nos. 1 and 2 singles in ACC play. Collins earned back-to-back ACC Player of the Week honors in late March.

No. 62 Nauta earns her second straight All-ACC honor after posting a team-best 18-2 dual record. Nauta also posted an impressive 11-1 record in ACC action. No. 69 Pierson posted a 13-8 dual record, including a 7-1 mark at No. 4 singles.

No. 3 seed Virginia received a double bye in this weekend’s ACC Women’s Tennis Championship and will play No. 6 seed Georgia Tech, No. 11 seed Virginia Tech or No. 14 seed NC State in the quarterfinals on Friday at 3 p.m.
