Virginia is one of five finalists for the top defensive tackle prospect in the recruiting class of 2014.
Oscar Smith High School rising senior told Rivals.com on Tuesday night that he had trimmed his list to five finalists, and will announce his college decision on Saturday, June 29. UVa was joined on Brown's list by Virginia Tech, Alabama, Florida State, and Clemson.
Brown, listed at 6-3 and 298 lbs., is regarded as a five-star prospect, and the top defensive tackle in the country by both Rivals and 247Sports. Rivals ranks Brown as the No. 7 overall prospect in the country, while 247Sports ranks him fourth.
Brown had 83 tackles as a junior at Oscar Smith, including 11 sacks.
Virginia's 2014 recruiting class already includes one in-state, five-star prospect -- Bayside High School safety Quin Blanding.
