UVa's ACC Opener Rained Out

The Virginia baseball team's ACC opener scheduled for Friday at Duke has been rained out, and rescheduled for Saturday.

The two teams will now play a double-header on Saturday afternoon, with the opener set for 1 p.m.

Friday's rainout marks the third postponement for the top-ranked Cavaliers this week, and means the team will have a six-day layoff before opening conference play. UVa's home games against George Washington and Old Dominion this week were both snowed out, and rescheduled for April.

Virginia was the preseason pick to win the ACC this year, according to a vote of the league's coaches. Lefty Nathan Kirby will start the opener of Saturday's double-header for UVa, with right-hander Josh Sborz set to start the second game.
