A pair of former Virginia football players are headed to Indianapolis next month to work out in front of NFL coaches and executives.
Offensive lineman Morgan Moses and defensive tackle Brent Urban both revealed on Wednesday that they've been invited to the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine. The four-day event runs from February 22-25, with offensive linemen scheduled to work out on February 22, and defensive linemen on February 24.
Moses was voted All-ACC by both the league's coaches (second team) and media (third team) after starting all 12 games at left tackle for UVa in 2013. He finished his college career with 43 starts at either left or right tackle.
The 6-6, 325-lb. Richmond native is projected to be an early-round pick in next May's NFL Draft. ESPN analyst Todd McShay ranked Moses No. 26 in his most recent list of draft prospects, and said Moses "could wind up as one of the surprises of this year's draft."
Urban was an honorable mention All-ACC pick as a senior in 2013, despite missing four games with an ankle injury. He finished the year second on the Cavaliers with 11.5 tackles for a loss, and led all linemen in the country with nine pass breakups during the regular season.
Moses and Urban have both been invited to the Senior Bowl later this month in Mobile, Alabama.
