Virginia Falls to North Carolina Again in NCAA Quarters

Virginia still can't figure out its North Carolina problem.

The Cavaliers fell to the Tar Heels for the eighth straight time, this one a 13-9 loss in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Tournament. Virginia ends its season 11-10.

The Tar Heels put the Wahoos on their heels from the opening faceoff. Virginia found itself down 3-0, all in the first minute of the game.

They got within 4-2 on a Casey Bocklet goal but Carolina proceeded to score the next six goals to take a commanding 10-2 lead into the locker room.

Kelly Boyd had a hat trick for Virginia while Courtney Swan and Liza Blue each added a pair of goals in the loss.
