Wahoos' Harris Named an All-American

Junior strong safety Anthony Harris is the first Virginia football player in five years to be named an All-American.

Harris was named a second-team member of the Walter Camp All-America team, announced Thursday night. An All-ACC first team selection by both the league's media and coaches, Harris leads the country with eight interceptions, and set a UVa school record with interceptions in five straight games this season.

Harris is the 10th UVa player ever named a Walter Camp All-American, and the first since offensive lineman Eugene Monroe made the second team after the 2008 season. He joins first-teams selections Chris Long (2007) and Chris Slade (1992) as the only UVa defensive players picked as Walter Camp All-Americans.
