Zimmerman and Reynolds Homer in Nats' Win Over Indians

Former Virginia baseball players Ryan Zimmerman and Mark Reynolds each hit a home run Saturday, as Zimmerman

Chris Davis went 4 for 4 with two home runs, and the Baltimore Orioles overcame three homers by Ryan Zimmerman to beat the Washington Nationals 9-6 on Wednesday night.

Former Virginia baseball players Ryan Zimmerman and Mark Reynolds each hit a home run Saturday, as Zimmerman's Nationals topped Reynolds' Indians 7-6.

Zimmerman homered to right center in his first at-bat of the night, giving Washington a 1-0 lead. In the bottom of the fourth, with the Indians down 5-2, Reynolds sent a solo-shot into the stands in left to bring Cleveland within two.

In the top of the ninth, Anthony Rendon put the Nationals up for good with his first major league home run.

Two pitches after his foul popup fell between the Indians' first baseman and second baseman Jason Kipnis, Rendon homered into the Nationals' bullpen off Vinnie Pestano to stun the Indians. It was the seventh home run of the game, and the fifth for the Nationals.

Mike Aviles doubled with two outs, but first baseman Adam LaRoche made a leaping catch of Michael Bourn's line drive to end the game.
