Updated: 1:12 AM Virginia relief pitcher Michael Schwimer was named a third team All-American by the NCBWA on Wednesday. Schwimer was sixth in the country in saves and led the ACC with 14. Schwimer was recently selected in the MLB Draft by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Updated: 7:55 PM Three more Virginia Cavaliers were selected on Day Two of the 2008 Major League Baseball Draft. Jeremy Farrell went to the Pittsburgh Pirates, Pat McAnaney was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Michael Schwimer was taken by the Philadelphia Phillies.

Updated: 1:28 AM The Charlottesville Doubletree will be the official hotel of the University of Southern California when they come the weekend of August 30th. That is the weekend that USC and Virginia will open the 2008 season at Scott Stadium. The 240-room hotel is completely sold out.
