Buckingham put together a fantastic season on the gridiron last year, finishing 10-0 in the regular season. However, the Knights' stay in the playoffs turned out to be much quicker than they hoped, and the players and coaches hope 2010 will turn out to be different come the postseason.
Buckingham takes the field hoping to repeat as James River District champions and feels it has a legitimate shot at the state title as well. Head coach Craig Gill returns a good group of players at the skill positions, including running back Maurice Taylor and quarterback Tarian Ayres.
The Knights opened up their season on Friday with a 13-6 win over Appomattox. Click on the above video link to learn more about the 2010 Buckingham Knights.
