The boys and girls Jefferson District basketball races will be decided on the final day of regular season play. Currently, Charlottesville leads the boys standings by just a half game at 9-3. The Black Knights have already completed their season, and will wait for the results of Tuesday's action to see where they fall.

Monticello and Orange are both 8-3. The Mustangs will travel to William Monroe, while Orange will host Western Albemarle. If both Monticello and the Hornets will, three teams will be tied at the top of the standings. In this event, the three teams would all be named co-district champions, and the seedings for the Jefferson District Tournament would be decided by a point system based on regular season results. Monticello would earn the top seed, with Charlottesville being number two, and Orange grabbing the third seed.

If a two way tie were to happen, a one game playoff would be held to determine the regular season champion and the top seed for the tournament.

The girls side is far less complex, with Western Albemarle and Orange both holding 10-1 district records. The Warriors and Hornets will play each other Tuesday night, with the winner taking the championship. Charlottesville has won the district title the last four years, but the Knights have the number three spot locked up at 9-3.
