The 2010 season was a successful one in Orange County. The Hornets finished 7-3, and made an appearance in the playoffs for the first time in ten years.
"It's a great feeling, it definitely is motivation," said TE/DE Landon Rasnick. "There's nothing like going to the playoffs."
Getting back to the playoffs will not be an easy task for the Hornets. This season, they make the move up to AAA and the very competitive Commonwealth District.
"It's going to be a challenge, but we're up for the challenge" said head coach John Kayajanian. We're going to be positive and we're going to get ready to play."
The Hornets say their biggest strength this season is team speed.
"I think we can run," said Kayajanian. "We're quick. We're not that big on defense, but I think we'll run to the ball. And I think we have some speed on offense that we can make some plays."
The Hornets open up the 2011 season at Louisa on September 2nd.
