Western Albemarle senior Mary Schwartz will continue her lacrosse career at the college level, as she signed her national letter of intent to play at George Mason this afternoon. Schwartz is one of the Warriors' top players this season, and will aim to start and get quality minutes for the Patriots in the fall.
Schwartz says she made her decision in the last month, as she continued to decide whether to play basketball or lacrosse in college. She was a threat on the basketball court for Western as well, helping the Warriors win a Jefferson District regular season title. George Mason has been recruiting her since the fall.
