Swanson Steps Down as STAB Baseball Coach

July 16, 2008

Saint Anne's Belfield head baseball coach Alan Swanson has stepped down from his position, the Daily Progress reported on Wednesday. Swanson has led the STAB program for more than a decade, and has won several state titles with the Saints.

Swanson will turn the program over to assistant coach Eric McGrane. He will begin his head coaching duties effective immediately, as Saint Anne's prepares for the 2009 season. This past year, STAB advanced to the state semifinals.

While at Saint Anne's, Swanson coached the likes of Casey Lambert, Kyle Long, and Trevor Knight. He left STAB in order to move to New York City with his wife.
