Jones Inducted in VHSL Hall of Fame

Former Cavalier running back Thomas Jones found himself back in Charlottesville on Monday night as part of the 2008 Virginia High School League Hall of Fame class. Jones put together a phenomenal high school career with numbers that prove his is well deserving of the honor he received.

Jones led Powell Valley High School to back-to-back division two state titles during his tenure. He rushed for two separate 3,000 yard seasons during his high school years as well. Jones took his skills to Virginia and holds 15 school records, as well as ten ACC records. After playing the first part of his career for the Chicago Bears, Jones now lines up in the backfield for the New York Jets.
