Today marked National Signing Day across the country, as several athletes from Central Virginia made their college commitments.
Saint Anne's Belfield's Howie Long Jr. will head to Virginia next year to play lacrosse for Dom Starsia's Cavaliers. Long is a standout on the Saints' lacrosse and football teams, but will stick to lacrosse at the college level.
Two other STAB athletes also made their decisions official today. Elizabeth Brightwell will head to Virginia on a golf scholarship, while Brett Goodloe commits to William and Mary to play baseball.
Two time AA state golf champion Michael Moyers will head down I-81 to Virginia Tech next year. Moyers broke the 40 year old state record this year, shooting a 65 and 62 in consecutive days.
Western Albemarle's Bridgett Lynn will further her lacrosse career. Lynn will make her way up to Washington, DC next year.
