Tuesday saw inclement weather postpone all local basketball action and games will be made up in the next week. Monticello will travel to Louisa and William Monroe will welcome Western Albemarle on both the boys and girls side tomorrow. Charlottesville hosts Fluvanna on Saturday, while Albemarle battles Colonial Forge on Monday.
The Madison Mountaineers did not have a game Tuesday, but have dominated in the games they have played. Madison is currently 18-0 and ranked number one in the state. The Mounts have dominated the Bull Run District, and will face George Mason tomorrow, who is second behind Madison in the district standings. Tim Taylor has his team playing the best basketball in the Commonwealth, and the fans are recognizing that, as the Mountaineer fans often out-number opposing fans during Madison away games. Home games are often sold out, with the gym topping 1,500 fans.
