Western Albemarle quarterback Seth Bowman will travel out of state to continue his football career. The Warriors' signal caller will play his college football at Glenville State College in West Virginia.
Bowman split time under center this past season with Stephen Schuler, and will look to catch on as a quarterback at Glenville State. He chose Glenville over Bridgewater and Emory and Henry, both Virginia schools. One main reason for his choice was the depth at quarterback, as Bowman said that Bridgewater had five quarterbacks, and Glenville's senior starter will have departed by next season, opening the door for him to earn the starting job.
Bowman also says that, while it's a good drive away, it will be nice to be close enough to be able to drive home, and for his parents to be able to visit him.
