Fluvanna Pitchers Ryan Foster and Tyler Denby threw back-to-back no-hitters for the Flucos last week.
Foster threw his no-hitter against Western Albemarle Wednesday April 22nd to lead the Flucos to their first Jefferson District win. He faced 24 batters, striking out six and only allowing three base-runners. It was his first career no-hitter.
Denby then followed that up two days later with a no-hitter of his own against Buckingham. He faced just 22 batters (one more than the minimum) striking out eight and allowing only two runners to reach base. It was also his first career no-hitter.
What makes the story even more interesting is that these two pitchers are also best friends. Click the above link to hear from the pitchers and Fluvanna Head Coach Mike Sheridan on this impressive accomplishment.
