The Fluvanna Flucos have turned the page from their 3-7 season a year ago. New head coach Rodney Redd has given the Flucos a fresh start, and they looked to get off on the right foot Friday night as they visited Prince Edward.

The game featured a bit of a slow start for Fluvanna, Prince Edward and mother nature, but that would all change.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Flucos were first to tilt the scales with a 30-yard touchdown pass from Ryan Foster to D.J. Burton for an easy six. Fluvanna would miss the extra point, keeping the score 6-0.

The rains came in the second quarter, but as the downpour continued the Fluco offense started to pour it on. Fluvanna running back T.J. Dudley broke through the line, turned on the jets and and crossed the goal line for the second Fluco touchdown. A missed two-point conversion made the score 12-0 Fluvanna.

Prince Edward would get on the board in the second half, but Fluvanna wins on the road, 26-8.
