Fresh off its eighth consecutive Jefferson District title, the Western Albemarle Volleyball team kept rolling right along in the quarterfinals of the Region II tournament. The Warriors played host to Fauquier and came away with the win in three games on Tuesday night.
Lance Rogers' team got out to a great start, scoring seven of the first eight points in game one to open up a gap that Fauquier could not close. The Warriors continued to dominate the match and went on for the 3-0 win. They will host Sherando in the Region II semifinals on Thursday night in Crozet.
Elsewhere, Albemarle picked up a win in the Northwest Region quarterfinals, 3-1, over Heritage. The Patriots move onto semifinal action at a date and time to be determined.
