Casey Campbell is not the Madison basketball player you'll see in many highlights doing the scoring. He's often the unmentioned person who gets the ball to his playmakers. Campbell starts at guard for the Mountaineers and his unselfish play reflects his character.
The Madison senior is a true multi-sport athlete. He has participated in football, cross country, and golf during the fall, basketball in the winter and baseball in the spring. He has been a three sport athlete in each of his four years as a Mountaineer. His administrators and coaches describe him as a goal oriented person who is always unselfish and looking to make his teammates better.
Casey also excels in the classroom, boasting a 3.6 grade point average and participates in many activities. He is a member of the Beta Club, Varsity Club and FCA.
Campbell was a huge part in leading the Mountaineers to a Region B semifinal win over Luray on Thursday night. In the past two years, the Mountaineers are 49-1 on the boys basketball court, thanks in large part to their senior point guard.
