David Falk was a key part of the Mountaineers in their run to a state championship this past season. His thunderous dunks could change a game to their favor, and helped the Mounts win that state title.

David's father Aksel knows a bit about state championships himself. He was a key member of the Madison County basketball team that won the schools only other basketball title in 1977. Even Aksel will admit, that watching his son win a ring is more gut wrenching than winning one himself.

Prior to achieving the state title dream this season, there was a bit of playful trash talk between father and son. Sometimes after winning a game of horse, David would gloat - but his father was quick to say "You still don't have that ring!" Now that's changed and Aksel and his son David couldn't be happier.
