Last season, the Covenant Football Team silenced the critics by posting a 6-3 record with only 22 players on their roster. With several experienced players returning at key positions, the Eagles look to keep the momentum going in 2007.

Covenant returns running back Luke Heinsohn, who proved to be its stand out player a year ago. Heinsohn broke his hand on the first play of last year's season opener, and pushed through the remainder of the year with that injury. This time around, the senior battles a sprained ankle, though the Eagles feel he will be back to 100 percent sooner rather than later.

Mark Sanford's squad has 28 players on its roster entering the season, and will once again battle teams with more depth. Click on the above video link to view the entire 2007 preview.
