The boys basketball teams at Madison and Buckingham are no strangers to winning. The Mountaineers celebrated their second ever state championship in 2010, while the Knights fell one win short, achieving runner up status. Tuesday, several players and coaches from both teams joined forces on the East squad at the Virginia High School Coaches Association All-Star Game in Hampton.

Madison's Logan Terrell and Jerel Carter earned spots on the team, along with Buckingham's Taylor Boyers. All three saw significant time on the court, leading the East to a 98-73 dominating victory over the West team. Carter led the three local stars with 14 points, while Terrell chipped in five and Boyers scored two.

Two head coaches helped out on the East's coaching staff in Madison's Ben Breeden and Buckingham's Russ Gowin. Both were able to play key roles from the bench in the victory.
