December 29th High School Hoops Wrap-Up

The Fluvanna boys' basketball team continued its great start to the season on Wednesday night. The Flucos beat Spotsylvania 62-50 behind 16 points and eight rebounds from T.J. Dudley. Fluvanna is now 9-0 on the season.

Eight other local teams took the court in the Holiday Classic tournament. The Albemarle boys' fell to Culpeper 65-59 in the championship game, while Waynesboro topped Charlottesville 59-50 in the third place game. The fifth place game saw Covenant rolling past Spotswood 81-63, and Western Albemarle took down Heritage 72-64 in overtime in the seventh place game.

On the girls' side, Miller fell to Spotswood 46-39 in the title game, while Liberty Christian beat Western Albemarle 51-42 in the third place game. Charlottesville cruised past Mount Carmel Christian 71-45 in the fifth place game, and Waynesboro beat Albemarle 49-41 in the seventh place game.
