In our Friday Night EndZone Game of the Week, the William Monroe Green Dragons (2-1) make a second half charge to narrow the 40-7 halftime deficit, but fell 47-21 to the Broadway Gobblers (3-0).
In other local action, behind Jhalil Mosley's 4 touchdowns, the Monticello Mustangs (2-0) held of the George Wythe Bulldogs (0-1), 40-32.
The Louisa County Lions (2-0) remained unbeaten with a 32-13 victory over the Courtland Cougars (1-2). The Lions were led by Zack Jackson and Andre Mealy, who combined for 5 rushing touchdowns, two for Jackson and three for Mealy.
The Orange County Hornets scored 15 points in the final 3 minutes to beat the Culpeper Blue Devils. Brandon Sellers scored from 29 yards out to cut the blue devils lead to 31-26 with 2:14 is left in the game. Less than two minutes later, Tyler Seal caught a 28-yard pass to put the Hornets up 32-31. After a successful 2-point conversion, Orange led Culpeper 34-31 and held on to win by that margin.
