Fork Union senior Christian Hackenberg has been selected to compete at the Elite 11 quarterback camp next month in southern California.
The Elite 11 is a four-day competition featuring the top quarterback prospects in the country. Hackenberg was one of the quarterbacks chosen during Thursday's Elite 11 selection show on ESPNU. This year's camp begins July 18 in Redondo Beach, Calif.
Hackenberg, regarded by ESPN.com as the top quarterback recruit in the country, threw for 2,164 yards and 20 touchdowns as a junior in 2011. He committed to Penn State in late February.
