The Fluvanna boys' basketball team closed out the Shoebox with a 74-54 victory over Louisa County, clinching the Jefferson District regular season title. The win was their 20th this season and the final regular season game to be played in the Shoebox. With the win, the Flucos also clinch the top seed in the Region II tournament.

At Monticello High School, the Mustangs' game against Charlottesville was cut short after a fight involving both players and parents. Security cleared the building in the third quarter.

UPDATE: In the Bull Run District, William Monroe and George Mason finished tied for first place. The two teams will meet Thursday (changed from Wednesday) at Central-Woodstock High School (changed from Strasburg) at 6 p.m. to determine the regular season champion.

In girls action, Monticello's Bridget Holleran hit a buzzer beater to secure a thrilling victory over Charlottesville 50-48. The Mustang girls clinch the No. 2 seed heading into Jefferson District playoffs. Powhatan clinched the JD regular season crown with a 38-28 win over Western Albemarle.
